Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ExamCaliber ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our website and services.

1. Information we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account or contact us (such as your email address), and basic technical data your browser sends automatically (such as your IP address and device type). With your consent, we also collect anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics.

2. How we use it

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, to track your exam attempts and results, to respond to your messages, and to keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies and analytics

Analytics cookies load only after you accept them via our consent banner. If you decline, no analytics tracking takes place. You can reopen the consent settings at any time from the link in the footer. We also set two strictly necessary first-party cookies that carry no tracking: a sign-in session cookie, and — the first time you start a mock exam without an account — a functional cookie holding a random identifier, so that if you later create an account we can offer to attach those anonymous attempts to it. Both are httpOnly and are never shared with anyone.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service (for example, hosting and analytics providers) and only as needed to operate it, or where required by law.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account settings. When you do, your email, name and sign-in details are erased immediately, along with your per-question learning history and chapter statistics. Your past exam attempts are not deleted but are disconnected from you: the owner field is cleared, so an individual result page you may have bookmarked or shared keeps working while no longer being linked to any person.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can do the two main ones yourself, without asking us: your account settings offer a one-click export of everything we hold about you — your profile, every attempt with the answers you gave, and your per-question statistics — as a JSON file, and a one-click account deletion. The export does not include the exam questions themselves, which are our content rather than your personal data; your answers are exported in full, keyed by question ID. For anything else, contact us at the address below.
